Contributions as a Lecturer, Teacher, and Author

An esteemed lecturer, Dr. Peter Fodor is dedicated to sharing his extensive knowledge with others. Dr. Fodor has taught plastic surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons at St Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital complex, and currently serves as an Associate Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at the UCLA Medical Center. As a result of his innovations in liposuction, body contouring, and cosmetic breast surgery, as well as his advancements in minimally invasive aesthetic surgery of the face and body, Dr. Peter Fodor is often invited by his peers to be a guest lecturer and instructor for live surgical demonstrations at national and international meetings. He served for many years as a Traveling Professor for the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in the U.S. and abroad and has been repeatedly invited to Brazil, where he is recognized at the Hospital Universitario Pedro Ernesto in Rio de Janeiro as an official visiting professor.

In addition to his contributions as a teacher, guest lecturer, and former president of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Dr. Fodor has authored articles on an array of cosmetic surgical topics. His work has been published frequently in peer-reviewed medical journals, and he has contributed chapters to textbooks on such topics as facelift, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), rhinoplasty (nose shaping surgery), lipoplasty, body contouring, breast surgery (augmentation/reduction/lift), and treatment of gynecomastia (male breast reduction).

With the goal to provide a realistic view of, and dispel misinformation about, aesthetic plastic surgery, Dr. Fodor was invited to serve as Medical Editor for the book Be Your Best: A Comprehensive Guide to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, published by Insight International Press. An all-inclusive patient guide to cosmetic surgery, the book features contributions from Dr. Fodor and more than 150 practicing aesthetic surgeons – all members of the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery and all board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (the only certifying plastic surgery board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties).
