Dr. Fodor believes that the initial consultation and subsequent preoperative visits are of great importance to a successful experience with cosmetic surgery. Upon a thorough evaluation, he and his staff will first address a patient's aesthetic goals in detail and then select the best approaches and techniques in order to provide a custom-tailored approach to best fit the patient's specific individual needs.

In Dr. Fodor's practice approximately 50% of the patients come for "re-do" also known as secondary surgery. Similarly, about 50% of the patients in Dr. Fodor's practice travel from locations outside of the greater Los Angeles area. 

Throughout his professional life, Dr. Fodor has been a major advocate of patient safety in aesthetic plastic surgery.  While President of The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery 2004-2005 he created a new committee within the Society structure with the mission to promote a "Culture of Safety."  His efforts focused on permeating patient safety concepts throughout the Society's membership and from the leadership to the membership. As a result of his efforts, the ASAPS Patient Safety Committee has become a pivotal committee of the organization.
